Le spectacle revisite le récit de l'Odyssée pour l'inscrire au centre de ces questionnements : face au présent que nous traversons, comment retisser ensemble ce qui a été défait ? Comment créer la possibilité d’un geste d'amour ?
Revisiting the tale of Odysseus, the show focuses on these questions: in the face of the present we are experiencing, how can we reweave together what has been undone? And how can we create the possibility of a gesture of love?
A force de démesure et d'ambition, Ulysse (Odysseus), dans son errance, se retrouve dans un monde obscur où il est confronté à la perte de sa propre subjectivité, de sa mémoire, à son propre naufrage. C'est par un acte de reconnaissance qu'Ulysse, de retour à Itaque, reconquiert in fine sa propre identité égarée. La force de cet acte fondateur réside précisément dans sa résilience, sa capacité à rétablir des valeurs à l’intérieur d'une communauté.
À travers un dispositif scénique qui tend à infléchir le regard, Odysseus propose un voyage de la chute à la régénérescence.
By dint of excess and ambition, Odysseus, in his wanderings, finds himself in a dark world where he faces the loss of his own subjectivity, his memory and, ultimately, his own shipwreck.
It is through an act of recognition that upon returning to Ithaca, he finally recovers his own lost identity. The strength of his foundational act lies precisely in its resilience, its ability to restore the internal values of a community.
Through a scenic device that bend the gaze, Odysseus takes us on a journey from decline to recovery.
